Eli Wilson Obituary

The Oakland Cemetery Association had been organized in 1868 and laid out in 1869. Eli Wilson was laid to rest with many of his old friends in the Shelby Cemetery on High School Avenue, where he would remain until a later date, when his remains and tall, distinctive marker would be moved by his heirs and placed in Oakland Cemetery.
